Profile:
Associate Professor at the Center for Liberal Education & Learning, Sophia University in Tokyo, Dr. Polito teaches courses in Catholic Social Teaching, Catholicism, Ignatian Spirituality, and Globalization. He also ran Sophia’s Global Leadership and Service Learning programs (2015-2020).
Dr. Polito has been an educator in business and international education for over twenty years. He holds a Ph.D. in Catholic Education from Fordham University in New York City, an M.A. in Religion and Christian Ethics from Yale University, and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Fairfield University. A native of Connecticut and the New York metro area, he lives in Nagano prefecture with his wife and Doodle-dog, Mari-pooh, among the beautiful mountains of Japan.
